COX Media Group Orlando Communications Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to support undergraduate students enrolled in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media who recognize and support the benefits of a diverse student population.

Selection criteria:

  1. Applicant(s) must be enrolled at the university as a full-time undergraduate in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media.
  2. Applicant(s) must submit an essay no more than 500 words on overcoming adversity and/or striving for inclusion of others.
  3. Preference given to students who are members of registered student organizations whose mission seeks to advance the needs or promote the existence of a diverse student population. Some examples include, but are not limited to, the following: National Association of Black Journalists, Association of Latino Professionals for American and the Caribbean Students’ Association.

This scholarship, to the extent funds are available, may be used to pay for tuition, textbooks, fees, and any other items included in the cost of education published annually by the University.
