Robert & Pamela Kirby Endowed Scholarship for Legal Studies

Pam Kirby established this scholarship in memory of her late husband, Robert Brandt Kirby, and in appreciation of the couple’s opportunity to serve UCF as faculty members. Beginning in 1995, both taught courses in the legal studies program after retiring from the U.S. Army, where they served as commissioned officers and attorneys in The Judge Advocate General’s Corps. This scholarship is awarded annually to UCF students majoring in legal studies, with a preference for students who are veterans, dependents of veterans or actively enrolled in ROTC.

Recipient Criteria:
Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student with a declared major of Legal Studies
Must have a minimum overall 3.2 GPA
Must have completed a minimum of 60 college credit hours and 2 legal studies core courses with minimum grade of B (3.0)
Preference will be given to a veteran, a dependent of a veteran qualifying under Chapter 31 of the GI Bill, or an ROTC student
Must provide a brief essay (one page, double spaced, 12 point font) on why applying for the scholarship and what personal and professional goals hoped to achieve in the next 10 years
