The Women’s Transportation Seminar Central Florida Scholarships

Brief Scholarship Description
The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) strives to help “established and upcoming professionals” develop their capabilities. The primary philanthropic effort of the Central Florida Chapter is the award of two (2) undergraduate scholarships and two (2) graduate scholarships for women pursuing careers in transportation. These scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant’s specific transportation goals, academic record, and transportation-related activities or job skills.

Minimum Selection Criteria
• Open to women
GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in a transportation-related field such as transportation engineering, construction management, planning, finance or logistics
• Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field

Scholarship Award Amounts
• Frankee Hellinger Graduate Scholarship: ($3,500)
• Frankee Hellinger Leadership Graduate Scholarship: ($2,000)
• Frankee Hellinger Undergraduate Scholarship: ($2,500)
• Frankee Hellinger Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship: (2,000)

Additional Scholarships Available to Winning Applicants
• Helene M. Overly Memorial Graduate Scholarship: ($10,000)
• Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship: ($5,000)
• The President’s Legacy Graduate Scholarship: ($5,000)
• Molitoris Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship: ($5,000)
