Purish Family Endowed Scholarship

Purpose:
Established in honor of Loretta L. Purish and the late John J. Purish, the purpose of this scholarship is to help future generations of Lee County students enroll at UCF.

Criteria:

  • Applicant must hold a 3.5 GPA.
  • Recipients must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Incoming freshman who graduated from a public high school in Lee County, Florida.
  • Applicants must be a full-time freshman in college.
  • Applicants must demonstrate involvement in leadership, community service, etc.

Limitations:
This Scholarship cannot pay over the student’s Cost of Attendance (COA) or Financial Need. COA is the estimated amount it will cost a student to attend the university. Financial Need is the difference between the student’s COA and a student’s Student Aid Index (SAI). Additional information about COA can be found at https://www.ucf.edu/financial-aid/cost/.
