Gerald-Mark Breen Memorial Scholarship

As a student in the Doctoral Program in Public Affairs, Gerald-Mark Breen was an active researcher who published two books and 30 articles. He worked as a teaching associate and a graduate research associate. In 2010, Gerald-Mark passed away at the young age of 29. His family established this scholarship in his memory.

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship awards to students at the University of Central Florida in the College of Community Innovation.

This scholarship supports graduate students in the College of Community Innovation and Education.

Recipients will be selected based on the following established criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in the Doctoral Program in Public Affairs in the College of Community Innovation and Education.
  • Must have a minimum overall 3.5 GPA
  • Must write a one page (double-spaced) essay on career goals after graduation
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

This Scholarship will be used to pay for tuition, textbooks, fees, and any other items included in the cost of education.
