Jeffrey Law Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded in Fall 2022 semester

The Jeffrey Law Memorial Scholarship was established by his family to honor the legacy of Jeff Law. An Iowa native, Jeff earned his BS in Integrative Physiology from the University of Northern Iowa and his MS from Texas Tech. Jeff was an intern at Old Miss and a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sacramento State University where he mentored many students into the profession. Jeff was a voracious reader, with a passion for research and a motivation in coaching. He viewed coaching as his calling and an opportunity to help young people. Jeff coached, taught and lived with a passion and energy that was contagious.

Recipient Criteria

In order to apply:

  • Applicant must provide a brief essay (1-2 pages, double spaced, 12 point font) that describing their interest, experience, accomplishments, and career goals in the field of strength and conditioning
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a graduate student in Kinesiology (Sport and Exercise Science)
  • Applicant must have a minimum overall 3.5 GPA
  • Applicant must be pursuing a career in the field of strength and conditioning

At the time the scholarship is disbursed, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
