Joan S. & Aaron Liberman Scholarship Fund

“Professor Aaron Liberman is a professor emeritus in the UCF Department of Health Management and Informatics. He has worked as a health care administrator for more than five decades serving in various leadership positions and specializing in health care reform. In addition to receiving nearly $4.5 million in funded grants and awards, Professor Liberman has authored more than four books, seven book chapters, six monographs, 98 journal articles and 49 paper presentations. He completed his B.A. in psychology at Baylor University, M.S. in educational psychology at Indiana University, and M.A. and Ph.D. in hospital and health administration at the University of Iowa. Liberman and his wife, Joan, established this endowed scholarship in 2011. The scholarship is awarded to full-time graduate students in the health services administration program.

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship awards to students at the University of Central Florida in the College of Community Innovation.
This scholarship supports graduate students in the College of Community Innovation and Education.

Recipients will be selected based on the following established criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in the Health Services Administration program
  • May prepare a two-page paper discussing the most important current challenge confronting America’s healthcare industry. Page one of the submission shall discuss the challenge as noted by the scholarship applicant. Page two of the submission shall discuss the proposed solution of the scholarship applicant."
