Sara Marti Scholarship for Study Abroad

The Sara Marti Scholarship for Study Abroad was established by Sara Marti ’05, a Burnett Honors College alumna. This award was designed by Ms. Marti to give back in a way that would help make a difference in a world where international relations are increasingly more difficult.

Ms. Marti, a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. State Department, originally became interested in a career in Foreign Service when a fellow honors student encouraged her to pursue an internship at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore. Sara was later awarded the prestigious Rangel Fellowship by the Department of State, which provided her an opportunity to pursue a graduate degree in International Relations at the University of Denver and various opportunities with US Embassies worldwide.
