Jack D. Holloway Endowed Scholarship

The Jack D. Holloway Endowed Scholarship was created as a tribute to the humanitarian and philanthropic values exemplified by Holloway’s life. Holloway was an entrepreneur who founded his business with a single bar, Jack’s Friendly Neighborhood Bar, in downtown Orlando in 1936. Today, the company, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, is the largest family-owned wine and spirits retailer in America with over 130 locations throughout the state of Florida. This scholarship is specific to physical therapy students focused on pediatric physical therapy.

Recipient Criteria:

In order to apply:

  • Applicant must submit a one-page essay to address the applicant’s area of focus in physical therapy, such as pediatric physical therapy. All essays will be reviewed by the college scholarship committees. In addition, recipients’ essays might be shared with donors.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time doctoral student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the time the award is disbursed.
  • Applicant must have an interest in pediatric physical therapy

At the time the scholarship is disbursed, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time doctoral student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the time the award is disbursed.
