Michael J. & Kathy E. Rovito Public Health Scholarship

Recipient Criteria:
At the time the scholarship is disbursed, the student:
Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student with at least 90 semester hours completed entering their senior year and a declared health sciences major
Must have a minimum UCF GPA of 3.0
The student must submit the following:

  • A copy of their degree audit
  • A letter of recommendation from a faculty member that can attest to their desire to pursue a public health-related profession
  • An original essay demonstrating their commitment to the pursuit of a public health-related profession (3-4 pages, double-spaced, 12-point font, 1-inch margins, separate title page with name, date, and essay title). The essay must include: how the receipt of the scholarship will aid in the achievement of his/her personal and professional goals in a public health-related discipline; a brief discussion on public health-related graduate/professional programs they are considering applying to pursue their career in the field; a narrative of evidence in public health as demonstrated by related coursework, involvement in extracurricular activities, volunteer service in the community, and/or leadership positions; and a perception of the future of the public health profession.
