Clayton R. Ford (Endowed) Banking Scholarship

Purpose:
The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide annual scholarships to encourage finance students to study ethical practices in banking.

Criteria:

  • Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Business Administration through the College Finance Department.
  • The applicant must major in finance and have a defined interest in banking.
  • Preference will be given (in order of priority) to those students who:
    1. Are graduates of the Orange County Public Schools’ Academy of Finance at William R. Boone High School (https://boonehs.ocps.net/academics/magnet/finance);
    2. A past member of an Interact-Rotary Club in the Orange County Public School System; or
    3. One who demonstrates financial need based upon guidelines set forth in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Award recipients may be required to meet the Donor, and the Donor will be notified of the award recipients.

Definitions:
Applicant(s) must have completed pre-major requirements and have been admitted into the finance major program in the College of Business Administration to be considered.

Limitations:
This Scholarship cannot pay over a student’s Cost of Attendance (COA). COA is the estimated amount it will cost a student to attend the university. Additional information about COA can be found at https://www.ucf.edu/financial-aid/cost/.
