Dorothy Gillespie Art Scholarship

The Dorothy Gillespie Art Scholarship provides awards to students enrolled in the Burnett Honors College. The scholarship will be awarded annually and paid on a semester basis. This scholarship fund honors the life of artist Dorothy Gillespie. During her career, Dorothy contributed to the women’s art movement and was a well known painter, sculptor, and installation artist whose work encompassed many significant 20th century trends in art.

This scholarship is available to Burnett Honors College students of any major, but preference is given to underrepresented minorities, specifically women and women studying the arts or arts education.

In order to be eligible students must:

•Be full-time and in good standing with the Burnett Honors College
•Have at least a 3.5GPA
• Student must have completed two semesters at UCF
• Student must be U.S. citizen
•Available to students of any major
• Preference is given to underrepresented minorities and women in the arts and art education
