Geraldine P. Hanna Memorial Scholarship

Criteria

• Applications, and subsequently recipients, must be engaged as an Exceptional Education teacher in the Orange County, FL Public School District. Consideration may be given to applicants who have applied for such a position and who are pending an employment decision.
• Recipients must be enrolled as a graduate degree seeking student in the College of Community Innovation and Education accepted in a program leading to a Master’s degree in Exceptional Education.
• Applicant must demonstrate outstanding academic performances and maintain a 3.0 GPA
• Letters of reference that detail the fact that the applicant is of outstanding character and dedication to the profession of Exceptional Education, as exemplified by the life and career of Gerald P. Hanna

This scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive academic years until graduation, provided that the recipient maintains eligibility criteria, including the requirement that they be engaged in teaching Exceptional Education in the Orange County, Florida, Public School District. The scholarship will not be awarded for any semester in which it becomes evident the recipient will not be employed, or is not pending employment, as described above.
