STRONG-AI Scholarship

The Center for Research in Computer Vision (CRCV) is pleased to offer scholarships for students in AI fields, through a project funded by the National Science Foundation. These scholarships are renewable for up to an additional four years, and they are intended for students
that might not have the opportunity to attend university otherwise.

Activities:
Each scholarship recipient will be assigned a faculty mentor, who will meet with them regularly and help them develop a program of study. They will also be assigned a peer mentor, who will offer advice and encouragement. All students will participate in various group and individual activities and seminars given by university faculty and industry professionals, and they will have opportunities to participate in research or industry internships.

Minimum Requirements for Applicants:

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • US citizens or permanent residents
  • Low-income status and demonstrated need for financial aid through FAFSA
  • Pursuing B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, computer vision, computer engineering, mathematics, statistics, or data analytics

Funds:

  • The maximum individual scholarship amount is $15,000 per year for undergraduates and $20,000 per year for graduate students, with a maximum duration of up to 5 years.
  • All are “last dollar scholarships” meaning they are paid after all other grants and scholarships for which the student qualifies have been awarded. More information on STRONG-AI can be found online at http://crcv.ucf.edu/strong/.
