CAPT Heidemarie Stefanyshn-Piper Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in honor of retired CAPT Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper, a decorated Nacal officer and NASA astronaut. Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper is one such role model for many, particularly young women who wish to pursue roles about which some might say “women can’t do that.” Stefanyshyn-Piper excelled at multiple of those roles, distinguishing herself as an elite Naval salvage diver and distinguished officer who led many and as an astronaut who flew two space shuttle missions and performed vital repairs to the International Space Station. The Donor says “Stefanyshyn-Piper never got bogged down in the mud but has instead aimed ad astra -to the stars.”
