The Morsberger Family Endowed First Generation Scholarship
Criteria
- Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a full-time undergraduate student.
- Applicant must be the first in their family to attend college.
- Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Scholarships considered for the First Generation Matching Grant Program may change every year. If the scholarship is selected to be a part of the First Generation Matching Grant Program, students must meet the following additional criteria:
- Be a Florida resident and a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Have a complete, error-free FAFSA showing financial need for the current aid year.
- Be considered a “First Generation” student (neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree or higher).
- Be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (https://www.ucf.edu/financial-aid/policies/satisfactory-academic-progress/).
- Not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any prior aid program.
- Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at UCF each Fall and/or Spring as a degree-seeking undergraduate student.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
- Have attempted no more than 132 credit hours.
Limitations:
This Scholarship cannot pay over the student’s Cost of Attendance (COA) and Financial Need. COA is the estimated amount it will cost a student to attend the university. Financial Need is the difference between a student’s Cost of Attendance (COA) and a student’s Student Aid Index (SAI).
