Community Leaders Scholarship
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the Community Leaders Scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Low to medium income – An applicant must be from a household with an annual family income of $100,000 or less.
- Community service – An applicant must have a demonstrated interest in service to their community, with a history of volunteer work or other forms of community involvement.
- Field of study – A student must be enrolled in or planning to enter a program in the fields of criminal justice or law enforcement,
- or they must be enrolled in or planning to attend law school.
- Age – A person must be at least 17 years old on the date they submit their application.
- Legal status in the United States – An applicant must be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
Application Instructions
- Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page to apply for the Community Leaders Scholarship.
- Your application must include documentation providing proof of enrollment in a program in a qualifying field of study, as well as evidence of family income.
- You must also include an essay of between 200 and 300 words answering the following prompt:
“How will this scholarship help you achieve your professional goals and allow you to give back to your local community?”
