Jeffrey Law Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded this upcoming Fall semester

The Jeffrey Law Memorial Scholarship was established by his family to honor the legacy of Jeff Law. An Iowa native, Jeff earned his BS in Integrative Physiology from the University of Northern Iowa and his MS from Texas Tech. Jeff was an intern at Old Miss and a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sacramento State University where he mentored many students into the profession. Jeff was a voracious reader, with a passion for research and a motivation in coaching. He viewed coaching as his calling and an opportunity to help young people. Jeff coached, taught and lived with a passion and energy that was contagious.

Recipient will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Applicant must provide a brief statement (250 words) describing their interest, experience, accomplishments, and career goals in the field of strength and conditioning. All essays will be reviewed by the college scholarship committees. In addition, recipients’ essays might be shared with donors.
  • Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a graduate student in the College of Health Professions and Sciences Masters of Kinesiology program.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  • Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a career in the field of strength and conditioning.
