Lawrence M. Gerrell Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Lawrence Gerrell was a criminal justice alumnus who went on to a long career with the Florida Highway Patrol. He always thought of his time at UCF with great fondness and provided for criminal justice students through his estate planning.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide awards to university students in the College of Community Innovation and Education, majoring in Criminal Justice.

Selection criteria:

  • Applicant must be a part-time or full-time student majoring in Criminal Justice.
    *The applicant must demonstrate financial need based upon guidelines set forth in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
    *The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University Office of Student Financial Assistance.
    *Preference will be given to applicants having only one or no living parents.
