The Central Florida English-Speaking Union Jessie Drey Memorial Scholarships

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship awards to students at the University of Central Florida in the College of Community Innovation.

This scholarship supports graduate students in the College of Community Innovation and Education.

Recipients will be selected based on the following established criteria:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in the College of Community Innovation and Education each semester. Exceptions may be considered, but not for more than one semester.
  • Must be a master, specialist or doctorate degree seeking student that is enrolled in one of the following areas: Elementary Education; Secondary Social Studies; or Secondary Language Arts (to include Drama, Humanities and Journalism).
  • Must include a minimum of two years of academic transcripts or effective teacher evaluations.
  • Preference given to applicants who include a brief statement of career goals and/or express intention/desire to continue their teaching career in Central Florida schools, either
    in the class or in administration.

This scholarship, to the extent funds are available, may be used to pay for tuition, textbooks, fees, and any other items included in the cost of education published annually by the University. This scholarship may be renewed pursuant to the University’s policy for awarding scholarships.

Special notice to the selected scholarship recipient:
The donor of this scholarship will be hosting a reception event for which you will be expected to attend. The event is planned for some time in early Fall semester at a location approximately 20 minutes from UCF campus. Further details will be shared once the recipient has been identified.
