Greater Orlando Builders Association Foundation Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student in the COBA, CECS, or majoring in the fields of architecture, public administration, or political science.
  • Applicant(s) must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

Preference will be given, by order of priority, to:
1. Members, employees, and the children of members and employees of the Greater Orlando Builders Association regardless of discipline.
2. Members, employees, and the children of members and employees of Volusia, Polk, Lake, and Brevard counties home builder associations charted through National Association of Home Builders and Florida Home Builders Association who are enrolled in a qualified discipline.
3. Students who reside in Orange, Seminole, or Osceola counties.
4. Students who may be in financial need, based upon the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Definitions:
The Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA) is an association providing advocacy for the building and housing industry in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties. GOBA is a part of the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Applicants must provide proof of membership in one of the above listed Home Builders Association(s) to meet the preference priority 1 or preference priority 2. Examples could include membership card, letter from organization, etc.

Limitations:
This Scholarship cannot pay over a student’s Cost of Attendance (COA). COA is the estimated amount it will cost a student to attend the university. Additional information about COA can be found at https://www.ucf.edu/financial-aid/cost/.
