Dr. O.M. "Budd" Berringer Pre-Health Professions Scholarship

Dr. Lynn Berringer established the Dr. O.M. “Budd” Berringer Pre-Health Professions Scholarship to honor her late husband, Dr. Budd Berringer. He was a beloved professor in the Department of Molecular and Microbiology and a Pre-Health advisor. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student pursuing a professional degree in the health professions and has received guidance from a Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising.

The scholarship recipient will be selected based on the following established criteria:

• Applicant must be enrolled at UCF as a degree holding or undergrad student of at least a Junior standing in a subject area that will lead to a professional degree in health professions.
• Applicant must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Applicant must be under advisement with the Pre-Health and Pre-Law advising department. (i.e., applicant must have previously met with a Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advisor).

• The criteria for awarding the scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
