Mentee of the Year Award

Selection Criteria

  • The nominated student should demonstrate the following qualities:
  • A sincere desire to succeed as a student and is committed to personal development;
  • Interested in exploring different experiences and backgrounds;
  • Open to working with a mentor and receptive to advice and counsel;
  • Work with their mentor to establish realistic goals and is committed to carrying them out;
  • Communicates effectively with Mentor and Peers;
  • Feels a responsibility to become an integral part of the University Community.

Eligibility Information:

  • Student must be currently enrolled full-time at the University of Central Florida and have at least ONE semester remaining before graduation.
  • The student must currently be a mentee in a formal UCF mentoring program.
  • The Nominating Mentor must currently be a mentor in a formal UCF mentoring program.

Instructions:
Both the Mentee and the person submitting the nomination must be currently participating in a formal mentoring program at the University of Central Florida.

Those making a nomination are asked to provide information to the following questions:
1. Describe how the nominee strongly displays at least 3 of the qualities listed above and give specific examples of ways they have demonstrated these qualities.
2. Explain how the nominee has grown as a person because of participating in a mentoring program.
3. Why do you think this person deserves to be honored as Mentee of the Year?
4. In summary, you may make other comments and include any information you feel is pertinent to the nomination of this Mentee.

  • Submit this form and your written nomination by Monday, January 20, 2025 at 5:00 pm.
  • There will be no deadline extensions, but early submissions are preferred.
