Creative BioMart Scholarship

Requirements
The Creative BioMart scholarship is open on a global basis. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. student at an accredited college, university or research Institute.
  • Major in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or a related major.
  • Can provide proof of a good average grade with at least a B (GPA 3.0/4.0).

Evaluation Criteria

  • The Creative BioMart selection committee will review each application fairly and carefully according to the following criteria:
  • Academic Ability: In addition to grade point average, your project, Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis, internship experience, or detailed learning plan will be considered.
  • Leadership Skills: The ability to organize and positively influence others inside and outside of school.
  • Social Concerns: Purposeful and meaningful participation in volunteer activities, community service or other public service activities.

Application Process

Required application documents

  • Application form
  • Letter of recommendation (from a teacher, mentor, school counselor, or community leader)
  • Current certificate of enrollment
  • Current transcript of records with average grade score
  • Tabular resume
  • A summary of your Bachelor’s thesis / Master’s thesis, or other project
  • A written essay of at least 800 words or a PowerPoint presentation of 10–12 pages with detailed presentation notes, which must be completely original, grammatically correct, and demonstrate your originality, creativity, clarity, and coherence. The topic and requirement are as follows:
  • A Recombinant Protein
  • Protein Therapeutics
  • Recombinant Protein related Technology
    Outline recommendation: (Any better idea than the above three aspects is welcome in your essay.)
  • Introduction to the proteins/therapeutic methods/technology (definition, classification, history, principle, development, etc.).
  • Products under development and already on the market.
  • Clinical, scientific or industrial applications of these proteins/therapeutic methods/technology.
  • Your opinion on their prospects.
