Banyan Scholarship for Clinical Education and Healthcare Professions
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Banyan Treatment Centers Scholarship for Working Students, you must:
- Be currently enrolled in a degree program in nursing, social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or any related field.
- Be a working student, meaning you are currently employed while pursuing your degree.
- Have a strong commitment to a career in healthcare or wellness.
- Finances must be used toward school.
How to Apply
- Complete an essay addressing one of the following prompts:
- What moment or experience first sparked your interest in the healthcare field, and how has that evolved over time?
- What challenges have you faced while pursuing your healthcare education, and how have you adapted to stay on track academically and professionally?
- How do you hope to improve access to or the quality of care for individuals in need of healthcare or mental health services?
- What does being a compassionate caregiver mean to you, and how do you plan to embody that in your future role?
- In what ways would this scholarship alleviate current pressures or barriers you’re facing in your pursuit of a healthcare career?
- Describe a person, mentor, or patient encounter that has shaped your perspective on the importance of healthcare.
- Is there a personal value, belief, or mission that guides your journey in healthcare? How has it shaped your path so far?
