The Florin|Roebig Scholarship

The law firm of Florin|Roebig knows how valuable higher education can be, not only in shaping society but in helping young people reach their long-term academic and professional goals.

For this reason, we’re proud to announce a scholarship contest awarding $1,500.

Award Details:

  • First place: $750
  • Second place: $500
  • Third place: $250

Scholarship award funds will be sent directly to the scholarship winner’s University/College

Eligibility Requirements
In order to participate in the scholarship contest, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a student enrolled full-time at a secondary or post-secondary academic institution in the U.S.
  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
  • Complete the Essay Contest answering the prompt: ““Equal Voting Rights During Midterm Elections””

Essay Contest Details:
Using your first-hand experience as a student during a midterm election year, reflect on how midterm elections and equal voting rights affect you, your campus and your community. In your essay, discuss the topic, “Equal Voting Rights During Midterm Elections,” addressing one or more of the questions below:

  • What influenced your views about the midterm elections the most, and how did sources like social media, news outlets or campus events shape what you believed or how you planned to vote?
  • How have current events or recent changes related to voting laws, registration rules or access to polling places shaped how easy or hard it is for you and your peers to vote?
  • What does equal voting rights mean to you, and where do you see progress or remaining barriers for students and other groups in your community or state?
  • Looking ahead to the 2026 midterms, what changes or reforms would you like to see to help students engage more in voting and politics in general, and what role do you think student voters should play in shaping the country’s direction?

Essay Guidelines

  • Essay submissions should be no longer than 1,200 words.
  • All essays will be judged by the quality of the content, degree of originality and feasibility.
  • Essay submission deadline: November 1, 2026.
  • Award announcement: December 1, 2026.

How to Enter the Florin|Roebig Scholarship Essay Contest

  • Review eligibility requirements to make sure you qualify.
  • Write your essay following the details provided throughout this post.
  • Submit your essay as a Word document or PDF attachment.
  • Apply via email and include your completed essay, along with your name, your major, the name of the post-secondary educational institution you attend or will be attending and your Student ID.
  • Submit essays and all required information to Scholarship@FlorinRoebig.com.
