Kevin Tyjeski City Planning Endowed Scholarship Fund
As an employee of the City of Orlando, Kevin Tyjeski was instrumental in the city’s development. He played an integral role in making the city more vibrant, alive and beautiful. Kevin was an early and active member of the School of Public Administration’s Urban and Regional Planning Advisory Board. He provided input regarding the program’s curriculum and helped ensure its masters program was approved by the university’s Board of Trustees. Kevin unexpectedly passed away in 2013 at the age of 53. A number of Kevin’s closest colleagues established this scholarship fund in his memory.
Must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time graduate student pursuing a Master of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
Applicant must have a minimum of 3.0 grade point average.
Applicant must demonstrate leadership potential by writing a 2-3 page essay on “The Merits of Sustainable Urbanism”.
Officers, directors, major contributors of Strengthen Orlando and their family members are not eligible to apply.
